do a search and learn about toe in and toe out, caster and camber- ( not a smart ass- but there is a lot posted) toe in is necessary or your car will not want to go straight- it will wander all over- you do NOT set rear wheel drive cars "neutral" or "0" toe. Improper camber will wear the inside or outside of a tire, but not near as fast as improper toe. improper Caster will NOT wear out a tire, it will make you car pull one way ot another. Keep this in mind: if your frame ( chassis) is not straight, the front end could be aligned, but your car wont go straight \ wear tires etc. if you have had an accident or aren't sure of the history, you may want to get and frame measurement (not just a "4 wheel alignment") this may help you locate a bent part or corner of your chassis "out of spec".
